WYVACON/D&J Hobby Center Warhammer 40k
1,200pt Matched Play Tourney
Saturday, July 28th.
- All players armies must follow the guidelines for Matched Play and of their Codex, FAQ’s, and any applicable and current Forge World/ Games Workshop Rule Sets which must be on hand and in a physical format that can be shared with their opponent.
– It must be the authorized Games Workshop and/or Forge World rules. - No Web Lists of any kind are permitted.
- Each game will be one on one play.
- There will be NO Spamming of a Unit in the army to gain an unfair advantage.
- The Games will be double elimination.
- The missions will be chosen by the players at random from the Open War Data Cards and MUST be followed as the cards state the mission, the set-up, and the guidelines of the mission played.
- Each game will have a strict 90-minute time limit that will start at the beginning of the first turn.
- Your opponent will be chosen from random draw of names.
- Your army MUST follow the WYSIWYG rule of thumb.
– What You See Is What You Get. - No substitutions of models, weapons, or components there to, are allowed.
- Your models must be painted with a minimum of Three (3) colors.
– Primer does count. - Your models must be fully assembled.
- If your flyer, skimmer, or jump model requires a ‘flying’ style base then it MUST be used. There will be no use of Jet Bikes, for example, being moved without their flying bases and using the benefits of their lower profile for cover or being hard to spot when they would be otherwise visible.
Remember, WYSIWYG applies for this too. - If you do not have your rules or cannot provide proof of the rule, then you cannot use the rule.
- Any cheating of any kind will not be tolerated and will result in the immediate dismissal of the cheater without compensation for any entry fees expended and will be banned from any future tourneys. Any attempt to “Sand Bag” your games to draw down the time will be an automatic disqualification. Any attempt to use a Rule, in order to do this, will result in an automatic disqualification from the tournament.
- All FAQ’s, including the BETA rules, must be followed as well for Matched Play.
- The entry fee is $10.00.
- There will be prizes in the form of Games Workshop sets, models and modeling supplies for First and Second.
- The Tourney will conclude prior to the close of WYVACON.
